Assault on Jaime Bullrich in Recoleta

A criminal act has shaken the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires, where three criminals assaulted Jaime Bullrich, cousin of the National Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich. Authorities have assured that all the criminals have been identified and are in the process of being captured. Legal actions have been initiated for the crime of robbery, and the Secretary of Security of the City of Buenos Aires, Ezequiel Daglia, has contacted Jaime Bullrich to offer support.

Jaime Bullrich is going through a difficult time, as in 2023 he was declared bankrupt and all his assets were auctioned off. It is being investigated whether the criminals were aware of Bullrich's bank withdrawal, which could suggest that it was a planned bank exit, or if it was a random robbery. Bullrich was involved in the "Argentine Madoff case" and testified before the Federal Oral Court (TOF) 4, being firm in his responses.

During his testimony, Blaksley, head of the company involved in the "Argentine Madoff case," mentioned that financial decisions were made alongside other collaborators of the organization. Nowadays, Bullrich has no active taxes nor is registered in the small tax regime. The assault occurred near two banks, various relevant businesses, and the Anchorena hospital in Recoleta, Buenos Aires.

Blaksley emphasized that the ownership of Hope Funds, the company involved in the scam, belonged entirely to him. The businessman expressed his surprise at the scam to clients during the hearing in which he participated via Zoom from his detention place. The victim of the assault, a 61-year-old man, was approached in a café after withdrawing $7 million from a bank. The thieves took a backpack with the money and fled on a white Honda Tornado XR 250 motorcycle.
